Description
The East Coast Revolutionary Trip is our signature excursion. We love taking students who have studied the American Revolution in classes like Foundations of Freedom or Authors of Liberty. Students still needing to study can use our provided book list or sign up for a class – we highly recommend online classes from The Learning Corner Online.
We believe in the Thomas Jefferson Education Philosophy of learning, which teaches that travel as field experience is an important pillar in a child’s education. Our East Coast trip begins in Boston and ends in Washington D.C. Along the way we stop at Revolutionary sites in New York City and Philadelphia. Students will walk the Freedom Trail in Boston, pay their respects at Trinity Church where George Washington worshipped, and explore Valley Forge. They will visit important sites such as Bunker Hill, Independence Hall, and Arlington National Cemetery, plus lots, lots more.
The East Coast trip is $2500 per person and includes airfare, lodging, all meals, and admissions. Students are responsible for spending money. We have a limited number of chaperone spots, so parents must apply. We love to take school groups, so feel free to sign up your entire class. We hope to travel with you, and we are happy to answer questions. Email your questions to [email protected] or download the information sheet that contains the itinerary and other pertinent information. We hope to see you on the trip!
