Mentor Training – Principles of Art

The Principles of Art Mentor Binder is pretty thorough, so why participate in training? The answer is simple: practice, practice, practice!

Come learn about teaching the Principles of Art Scholar class from the people who not only created the class, but have also taught it. In this training we will go over the binder and discuss the ins and outs of how to teach this class. We will also share some suggestions on how to help the class run smoothly, from keeping student’s attention in less interesting lessons, to clean up tips for the in class projects (believe me, you’ll appreciate these tips…we wish someone would have told us how messy clay was!).

Below are a few of the topics we will cover in this training.

*What will a typical class look like?

*Class supplies and where to find them.

*Lessons, and how to make them engaging.

*Pornography vs. Art: How to handle the topic of nudity.

*Master Designer Award (we thought of titling this one “When your students are really awesome” because this award is HARD to achieve for a reason!)

Training will be held digitally, and can be scheduled for a time that works for both the one giving and the one receiving the training. Training lasts 3 hours.

Cost: $100 for the online training for one person. In addition, you’ll need to purchase and download the Principles of Art Mentor Binder before attending training.
