Description

The Playful Book Club for Core Phase is an 8-month, theme-based curriculum. Each monthly theme is explored over four weeks, allowing children time to build familiarity over the subject and deepen understanding.

Within each theme:

● Children are introduced to four carefully selected pictures books, one per week

● Each book connects clearly to the monthly theme

● Activities, projects, and invitations reinforce the story and the theme through hands-on, playful learning.

The themes are intentionally aligned with the natural rhythm and seasons of the school year, making learning feel relevant and connected to children’s lives. We’ve provided a suggested calendar, but adjust as you see best for your group.

Suggested themes for each month:

1. September: Space Exploration

2. October: Fall Harvest

3. November: Forest Friends

4. January: Arctic Adventures

5. February: Community Helpers

6. March: Wet Weather

7. April: Colorful World

8. May: Farm Animals
