Description
Inkheart — Student Manual
The Inkheart Student Manual is the companion resource each student needs to fully participate in class. While the Mentor Manual equips you to lead engaging, well-prepared discussions, the Student Manual puts the tools for learning directly into your students’ hands—so they arrive ready to think, discuss, and write, rather than starting from a blank page each week.
Each lesson in the Student Manual corresponds directly to the Mentor Manual, giving students:
- Discussion questions to prepare in advance so class time is spent engaging with ideas rather than hearing them for the first time
- Space for reflective writing that connects literature to personal experience
- Writing instruction and prompts that reinforce the skills being taught in class
- Principle-based content tied to the Seven Principles for a Life That Builds, reinforcing what’s discussed in class
- A consistent structure from week to week, helping students build strong habits of reading, reflection, and preparation
Without the Student Manual, students lack a place to engage with the material outside of class—there’s no structure for reading preparation, no space to develop their reflective writing, and no way to revisit the questions and principles being discussed. The Student Manual closes that gap, turning Inkheart into a complete learning experience rather than a discussion mentors carry alone.
Used together, the Mentor and Student Manuals create a shared framework: mentors lead with confidence, and students come prepared to contribute—resulting in richer discussions and deeper learning for everyone in the room.
