Description
Travel back through the history of Thanksgiving and learn about the people who played a role in creating the Thanksgiving we have today! This low-prep activity for the week of Thanksgiving will teach the traditions we honor in US History for middle and high school students at co-op or even at home.
Topics include:
- Native Americans and their role
- How we know about the first Thanksgiving
- How it became a holiday
- Date changes
- US Presidents who shaped Thanksgiving over the years
Low prep! Just print, cut and tape! Students read the clues, then find the card with the person’s name that matches. Read that card and continue through all the cards until you get back to the original card.
Embrace the craziness of Thanksgiving week as your students learn US History.Â
