Description
In this unit, there are eight lessons. It’s up to you as the teacher how you would like to complete it. Though the lessons could be done out of order, it is recommended to do them in the order as some things may build on each other. Lessons will take about an hour to complete in a group setting. Age groups 4-7 have activities that are easier and include bigger boxes for drawing pictures or writing small amounts. Ages 8-12 have more difficult activities and more writing.
Each lesson has a picture book or two that is highly recommended to read with the children, along with additional book options you can add if you’d like. There are YouTube videos linked that go into more detail on different topics if desired. Many lessons have hands-on activities that make the topic more relatable.Â
Each lesson has an activity for the children to complete to add to the final project, which is to write their own autobiography.
