This playlist includes the following recordings:
1. Transition to Scholar with Gwen Wood
Gwen specializes in early Scholar classes. Transition is that level that builds a bridge between Love of Learners and Scholars and prepares youth for a successful Scholar experience. In this presentation, you’ll learn about the basic scholar skills your students need. You will also learn how to teach those skills to your students who are ready for more but still need to have fun and enjoy what they are learning.
2. Super Effective Ways to Capture (and Keep!) Your Student’s Attention with Molly Christensen
This session is full of great ways to engage with students and keep their attention. There is also a handout for this session included in the downloads.
3. How to Create Great Literary Experiences in the Classroom with Bonita Sutton
This session teaches how to decide which books to read, how to use books as an instrument in the classroom, and how to get the most out of the books you use in class. This session is excellent (and suggested) training for those who will teach Land of the Free.
4. Studying Primary Source Documents with Sarah Wood
This wonderful session expands the understanding of what documents studies can be. This training talks about what constitutes a document study and breaks down how to use this tool in your classroom effectively. Sarah is the author of the Art Appreciation Scholar Class, which uses many iconic pieces of art as document studies.
5. Group Discussion vs. Lecture with Amy Edwards
