Foundations of Freedom is a class primarily for 12-14 years, but works for 12-18 years, that teaches about the European discovery of the Americas through the founding of the United States of America. This class has an emphasis on the American Revolution and the Constitution of the United States and the Amendments. Throughout the year this class also focuses on the 28 Principles of Liberty as outlined in Cleon Skousen’s book The Five Thousand Year Leap.
During the second semester, there are lectures and activities to help familiarize students with parliamentary procedure, which is a valuable tool for those looking to understand how government works. Students will learn through lectures, simulations, activities, book discussions, and document studies. This training will walk you through each of these key components to help you gain confidence in your ability to effectively teach this class.
