Introducing The Vault

For more than six years, Curriculum Square has hosted Art of Teaching trainings every June, and we’ve been quietly building a library of recordings along the way. There is some truly classic content in there. These trainings have been foundational to our own growth as homeschoolers and co-op mentors, and in our experience, the best homeschoolers and mentors feed themselves regularly with content like this.

Now we’re opening that library to you.

Opening One Year at a Time

Getting each session ready to sell individually has turned out to be a bigger job than we expected, so rather than make you wait for the whole library, we’re opening The Vault one year at a time. The 2020 Art of Teaching sessions are available today. Each week for the next six weeks we’ll add another year, and by the end of October the entire collection will be open.

Two Ways to Get In

• Buy individual sessions. Pick the ones you want and keep them forever. Every session in a given year is $5 and available on that year’s product page. Links are below.
• Become a Partner School. Curriculum Square Partner Schools get ongoing access to the entire Vault for free. Reply to any of our emails if you’d like to know more about our Partner Schools program.

A Note for School Leaders

When a school buys a training, it can share it with the whole school. One $5 purchase covers your entire mentor team.

Compare that to what mentor training usually costs. Some three-day workshops run $400 to $500 per person, before travel. For the price of sending one mentor to one of those, a school could buy every session in The Vault several times over and train every mentor it has.

There are two easy ways to use it:

• Host your own workshop. Pick several sessions, invite your mentors to a watch party (or two, or three), press play, and talk each one through together afterward. You get a multi-day mentor training for a fraction of the cost, with the conversation happening among the people who will actually be teaching side by side.
• Go one session a week. Share a single video with your mentors each week, virtually or in person. This fits real schedules better than a marathon, and it gives everyone time to digest, practice, and apply one idea before taking on the next.

Either way, you hand off the hardest part of mentor training (finding a great presenter and preparing the content) while keeping the connection and the conversation in your own hands.
