Art of Botany-1st Semester Student Manual

$30.00

(For students ages 12+) The perfect marriage of art and science. The Art of Botany examines the inner workings of plants and their surroundings while exploring the beauty of botanical illustration. In this class, students will learn the typical information covered in a high school level Botany class. They also will be introduced to botanical drawing and nature sketching, however; the scope of this class is so much more.  The hope is students will come to a greater understanding of their connectedness to the natural world in which they live. In so doing, the goal is for them to have the desire to be cooperative, contributing, mutualistic members of their environment and community. In science, a mutualistic relationship is one in which both parties benefit. Through this class, it is hoped students will come to see the value of their individual gifts and talents and how they can benefit them, their community, and the earth.
