War has gone on for millennia, but until World War I, also known as the Great War, or the War to End All Wars, it had never been on quite that scale of death and destruction. What made the difference? How and why did it happen? Learn about the causes of World War I and World War II. How were these wars fought? How were they different, and how were they the same? What role did the Great Depression play into World War II? Learn about the struggles on the battlefield, and on the home front. Discover stories of bravery and courage that will inspire us in our own lives. Take time to think about the sacrifice others have given for us to live in the world we now have. Hear the call to “Never give in! Never, never, never!” and to be “grateful for the fleas” in our own lives.
Explore the people and events of World War I, the Great Depression, and World War II through readings, lectures, simulations, document studies, and other activities. There will be historical content in this class that parents and mentors need to be sensitive to in deciding whether this class is right for their scholars. This one semester class is recommended for scholars ages 14-18 years old.

I have used this curriculum to mentor a World at War class. My son was one of the students. I can recommend this as a quality curriculum as both a mentor and a parent.
The information is covered in a logical way to help students understand the world events that led us to World War I and the Great Depression and from there to World War II.
The books, movies and documents are well suited to understanding the topics better in a way that is age appropriate for teens.
I really appreciated that it was super easy to use and included pre-written simulations and the kids found it engaging. I have difficulty writing my own simulations, so for me, that is one of the best reasons to buy this curriculum.
My son loved this class and still talks about what he learned from it over a year ago.
