Our Place in History is a Scholar Phase class that teaches history from the end of World War II to the end of the 2010’s from an American Perspective while also teaching about generational cycles and archetypes. In this training, you will gain key insights into how to effectively inspire your scholars as you teach this class.

This training is for mentors teaching Our Place in History. This virtual training will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm MST.

Our Place in History is a Scholar class that teaches history from the end of World War II to the end of the 2010’s mainly from an American perspective. This class will teach students about the generational cycles and archetypes presented in Strauss and Howe’s book The Fourth Turning. Students will learn through lecture, simulation, activities, book discussions, and document studies. This training will walk you through each of these key components to help you gain confidence in your ability to effectively teach this class.

PREREQUISITE: Mentors are REQUIRED to take the Mentor Skills Training offered by Curriculum Square on Friday, June 21, 2024, to prepare for this training.
