Mentor Workshop with Jim Weiss 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM Mountain Time
This 2-hour interactive workshop on the Art of Storytelling will help us learn to:

Structure any story and turn everyday moments into captivating tales
-
Equip ourselves with a “bat belt” of storytelling tools and
-
Double the impact of what we teach through story
There will also be lots of time to ask Jim your own questions.
The Virtual Marketplace from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM Mountain Time where you can explore curriculum, virtually flip through materials, and ask creators questions directly.
Our additional sessions will feature two expert speaker choices for each session. All those who register will receive ALL the recordings.
12:35 PM – 1:55 PM Mountain Time Session:
Mindi Eldredge – Mindi is the founder and creator of The Mindful Heart curriculum. She will speak on giving your students a “heart education.” She will share the journey of how to more fully cultivate the heart, mind, body, and spirit through a heart-based approach to home (and co-op) education.
Juliet Bellinger – is the founder and creator of Building Steam! Her exciting STEAM curriculum can be found on Curriculum Square. Juliet will present an interactive workshop where participants will learn the essentials of debate simulations in the classroom. You will be able to help your students build arguments, express ideas clearly, and participate in effective classroom debates. Juliet’s love of rhetoric and debate will help us all to create better thinkers and orators in our scholar classrooms.
2:00 PM – 3:20 PM Mountain Time Session:
Heather Martinson – Heather is the founder and creator of Celebration Education. She is a Creator with Curriculum Square under the same name – Celebration Education. Heather will present on using themes to teach our younger learners. Her enthusiasm on this subject is the basis of her business and curriculum and she has years of experience to share on how to use themes to create immersive experiences for our love of learners in the co-op classroom.
Hannah Alita and Stephanie Hunt – Together they make up the creative force behind The Adventuring Scholar! They are here to teach us how to hit it out of the park with exciting activities in our classrooms based on principles. They love it when learning comes to life through activities, simulations, and real-world exposure and students walk away understanding the truths behind what was taught. Participants will feel that love and come away with the enthusiasm to create these experiences for their students as well.
Evening Storytelling For Families – 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Mountain Standard Time
Kids and teens will be captivated as Jim Weiss brings stories to life with his signature voice and characterizations—a magical, immersive experience designed to inspire a love of stories and learning.
Tickets include: access to one or both sessions, all materials for the hands-on storytelling workshop, entry to the virtual curriculum marketplace, and all speaker recordings.
