Game Builders is a Love of Learning (8–12-year-old) class that uses the fun of learning game design to teach important skills such as logical thinking, diplomacy, and the importance of reworking to make a creation better. Game Builders includes 28 weeks of content for a class meeting once a week for 1-2 hours of class time.

Description

Game Builders is a fun way to learn problem solving skills, resourcefulness, mathematics, storytelling, art, persistence, resilience, diplomacy, and logical thinking.

This year long Love of Learning class will introduce 8-12-year-old students to the fundamentals of game design. Students will be encouraged to explore playing and creating different genres of games. There are four units that will be focused on, including dice games, Role-Playing Games, card games, and board games.
