Description
Principles of: Physics — Mentor Materials + Training Bundle $145.00 | The Adventuring Scholar
A semester of hands-on physics for your homeschool co-op — plus everything the mentor needs to teach it with confidence.
Principles of: Physics is a course in science, math, and logic — part of The Adventuring Scholar’s Principles of: Series, created to introduce the behaviors and critical thinking required to discover truth. We believe that “all things denote there is a God,” and these lessons are crafted to help scholars recognize meaningful connections between their environment, themselves, and God. Scholars do the real work of scientists: measuring, experimenting, questioning, and drawing their own conclusions — from the scientific method and the history of measurement to how and why things move.
What makes this physics curriculum different
- Hands-on and scholar-led. Scholars run the activities and make the discoveries; lecture is a last resort.
- Built for the co-op classroom. Every lesson is designed for a group of scholars learning together, led by a parent mentor — no science degree required.
- You’re trained and supported, not just handed a book. The bundle includes a live 90-minute Zoom training that walks you through every piece of the materials, plus ongoing mentor support throughout your class experience.
What’s in the bundle
- Mentor Lesson Binder (41 pages) — your class outline, lesson by lesson. Change the lineup freely to fit your class.
- Mentor Resource Binder (53 pages) — the background you need to research and understand everything you’ll be teaching.
- Mentor Activities Binder (75 pages) — a myriad of activities for every lesson, including four Canva slide activities.
- Planning Google Sheet (5 tabs) — plan, track, and budget for your class in one place.
- Live 90-minute Zoom training — a walkthrough of your materials and how to use them for an incredible class experience.
- Ongoing mentor support — help throughout your semester, not just at the start.
- Digital access — everything delivered in a shared Google folder the moment you purchase.
That’s 169 pages of mentor materials, a planning tool, live training, and a support line — for less than most co-ops spend on a single curriculum package.

What’s inside a lesson
Each lesson gives the mentor a clear roadmap: a big-picture framing, a driving question, focus points, hands-on activities with simple materials, and discussion prompts that get scholars thinking — not just listening. Sample topics include the scientific method, the history and meaning of measurement, and the metric system.
